My gr-gr-grandfather was John Middleton Finley. He was born in Georgia December 17, 1804. He died in Damascus, Scott County, Mississippi. A history of this family was given to me and it says there were several Finleys in Wilkes county during the Rev. War. This family was in Virginia, I think previously.. Then they were in S.C. and went to Georgia. Does anyone know of a Finley family in the Rev. War or anything?
