A Virginia deed dated 7 August 1787 states that they were "of Wilkes Co., GA" and owned land on a branch of the New River in Virginia.

In Wilkes County tax records: James Tuttle paid taxes in 1785, 1786, 1787, 1790 Nicholas Tuttle paid taxes in 1785, 1786, 1787, 1790 S. Tuttle paid taxes in 1800 James and Nicholas paid taxes in the same militia (taxing) district in 1785 and 1786. This is all I could come up with.
