My line starts (along one branch) with William Williams, whose son was Drury (~1748-1806). Drury Williams was born in Virginia, but died in Wilkes Co., GA on 4 Mar 1806. I have a note that says the "Gough application to the DAR says he was married in Cumberland Co., VA" to Tabitha Marshall (~1758-1805) on 26 Mar 1770. Another note shows marriage in Goochland Co, VA. They had a son Jesse Williams b. in VA who married Elizabeth Heard. Jesse and Elizabeth had a daughter, Mary A. Williams b. ~1809. I have research showing Mary with a possible middle name of Elizabeth. Mary Williams married William Pope Muse on 11 Dec 1826 in Wilkes Co. GA. They had at least one son: Josephus Marion Muse (1836-1910). Josephus Marion Muse (b. 4 Nov 1836 in Wilkes Co. GA, d. 13 June 1910 in Carroll Co. GA at 73) He was a soldier of the confederacy. He married Mary Elizabeth Hamrick (b.27 Jan 1838-d. 12 Oct 1910) on 28 Oct 1859 in Carroll Co., GA. They had 10 children: Mattie Muse Mary Frances (Fanny) Muse Joe Muse Rebecca Valentine Muse (1862-1934) James Muse (Jim?) George Muse Tom Muse also known as Tommie Muse Burred Muse Earl Muse John Muse I am the great grandaughter of Rebecca Valentine Muse and James Latham Baker.
