It locates various families in relation to rivers and streams. This map lists quite a number of families and locates John Clark, General Elijah Clark, and General Thomas A. Smith in Wilkes county very near the town of Washington. This is by no means a complete listing as it was drawn early on and does not include some families that came in the 1780's. My family the Hardmans settled on Goosepond creek,in the early 1780's. The area is now in Oglethorpe county. The Hardman's had as neighbors Christopher Clark, and Micajah Clark. Micajah was a witness to the will of John Hardman.
