They are shown in Wilkes Co.by 1786.According to family information their daughter Annie, my ggg grandmother ,would have been born while they were in Wilkes Co., in 1794.George and Elinor(Nellie) sold their land in Wilkes Co. in Sept. 1795 to Fleming Jordan. By 1797 they had returned to Buncomb/Transylvania Co. N.C. Did they buy more land in Wilkes?Supposedly some of Elinors brothers were also in Wilkes Co. ,James Lee/Lea for one.Any help greatly appreciated.
