I have some very limited information on Lett families in South Carolina and in North Carolina in the early to late 1700s---Perhaps you have more than I do, since you were aware of that data? I doubt very much if the list wants me to innundate them with the scattered tidbits of info that "may or may not" connect the families...Although, in truth, I DO think there is a connection between some of the Lett families in SC-NC-and TN/KY/IN---In fact, I think that my line connects back to a John Lett with wife Elizabeth Hardaway from VA and eventually to a John Lett of York co VA in 1651. In particular, I would like to find information on a Rueben Lett who was a rufugee from the destruction of Charlestown by the British during the Revolutionary War. Reuben was granted land in the Wilkes co GA area, and purchased land in neighboring counties (same area after boundary changes?). Rueben's His daughter, Letitia, was said to have married a Samuel Kinman, and I think that this marriage is the key to the deed I mentioned in my last post. I suspect that the KINMAN writer of the deed was related to the wife of Daniel Lett, and was interested in the children getting the property, rather than some adult gaurdian--that is why they are named specifically and no adult.
