I have gotten this far, and need some help, either historical, or present day descendants. Thank you for your responses. ANGELINE & ARNOLD STOKES (brother & sister) were born in slavery on a plantation in Tennessee. They were half white, their father STOKES, the plantation owner, and either Black, or Indian, (mother). They were sold to a family in Wilkes county, Georgia, to either a HAMMITT OR BOSTICK family. ANGELINE, who was half white and half indian, married a man named JOHN LEE. JOHN LEE WAS African.(so I am told) ANGELINE had several children: AMY BELL LEE - m.RUBIN JOHNSON JACK LEE RICHARD LEE - WWI veteran FOLGER LEE - WWI veteran JULIA LEE DORA LEE After AMY BELL LEE married RUBIN JOHNSON, she had 3 children with him they were: PEARL JOHNSON RUBEN JOHNSON ROBERT (ROB) JOHNSON (died early) When Ruben Johnson died, AMY BELL LEE JOHNSON married ROBERT (BOB) BROADNAX. They had several children: JOHN BROADNAX PAUL BROADNAX JOE BROADNAX JERRY BROADNAX VIRGINIA BROADNAX AMY BELL'S 2nd husband ROBERT (BOB) BROADNAX is said to have been killed in Virginia. PEARL JOHNSON married ROBERT WALTON and 3 children: ROBERT WALTON m. Mary Ferrell / m. Rosella Wilkinson TODD WALTON(died very young/ struck by lightening) LUCILLE WALTON (TATE) After her marriage to WALTON (either by divorce or death, (it is unknown) PEARL JOHNSON WALTON married ROBERT TATE. (Her daughter, Lucille took on the name of her step-father, ROBERT TATE. PEARL JOHNSON WALTON-TATE Next married WES BENNETT. They had no children. LUCILLE WALTON-TATE had two daughters: ELIZABETH TATE PEARL TATE Then she married JOE HINES OF FLORIDA, their children were: JAMES HINES CARL HINES (DIED YOUNG) WALTER HINES BENJAMIN HINES RALPH HINES, ELAINE HINES DAVID HINE LARRY HINES SYDNEY CULLAS LUCILLE then married WILLIAM ROSS and they had 1 daughter: SYLVIA ROSS ELIZABETH TATE married HOWARD K. BIRD and they had six children: PATRICIA BIRD DORA BIRD RAYMOND BIRD ROSLYN BIRD MYRON BIRD EUGENE ANDREW BIRD If anyone has any info on this family please let me know. I am especially seeking the origin, STOKES - HAMMIT -BOSTICK: Any info on ANGELINE AND ARNOLD born in slavery, in Tennessee and sold to Georgia.
