Hi Lewis, I don't suppose you have a William Joel Davis, do you? He was b. September 14, 1802 in Rockingham Co., Virginia; d. September 08, 1858 in Oglethorpe Co, Georgia. He married Angelina Lumpkin on December 26, 1827 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. She was b. June 28, 1811 in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia; d. November 10, 1847 in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia. I have Angelina's entire line, but poor Joel has no predecessors in my files. I am also looking for Martha F. Davis: b. December 24, 1830. She married William Jarrett on January 28, 1848. He was born January 14, 1812. I am pretty sure that these two came from either Jackson County or Clarke County, Georgia---or at least the surrounding counties of these two areas.
