Judge Tait held the trial. Mr. Barclay's grave is supposed to be located on the old Elbertson and Augusta road a few miles beyond Sandtown (Hyde). A Mr. T.W. Callaway had a map of Wilkes County, and a spot is marked "Murdered Bartlett's Grave" which should have been Barclay. This Polly was my great great grandmother. Can you give me any information on thi subject? Supposedly there is a Polly Barclay tree, named after her in Washington, GA, being the tree where she was hung. Can you give me additional info?
