I am a direct descendant of Major General Elijah Clarke. His remains as well as those of the other family was originally buries on their land in Lincoln County Georgia between Lincolnton and Elberton, Georgia. Because of rising waters caused by Strom Thurman Reservoir, the bodies were relocated to Elijah Clarke State Park between Lincollnton, GA and MCCormick, SC
