E. of Greensboro, south side of Siloam Rd; marker in error:" Georgia Mil/Rev.War/1797";John Heard served in Rev. War in Henry Co. Virginia. Married first, Mary Meader Sec.Eleanor, she was mentioned in his will. John`s family record was found in Miss. in Faulkner Heard`s family Bible, and published by the Miss.Genealogy Soc. This information was transcribed from the Joyce Poole book of the Heard Family. They show John Heard to be the son of Stephen and Mary Faulkner Heard.
