I am looking for a Gordon family that might have been in Wilkes Co. in 1823 when a son, George Alexander Gordon, was born. George was my great great grandfather. We are looking for his parents. Census records say that he was born in Georgia. We have no idea what county. The first record we have of him is the 1850 census for Scott Co., MS.
