He married SUSAN ELIZABETH NICHOLS January 18, 1903 in Crenshaw County, Alabama, daughter of JOEL NICHOLS and SUSAN WELLMAKER. She was born July 13, 1870 in Crenshaw County, Alabama, and died April 16, 1949 in Crenshaw County, Alabama. Notes for WILLIAM J. NICHOLS: William was 1st cousin, once removed, to his wife, Susan Elizabeth Nichols. William's epitaph, "Gone but not forgotten". He was known as "Georgia Bill". More About WILLIAM J.
