He relocated from S.C. (most likely Spartanburg area). Of his 17 children, I'm seeking info primarily on his son Zachariah, whom I believe is my ggg-gf,who married Sally Hames/Thompson, then moved to Gwinnett Co, then Tallapoosa Co., Ala by 1853. There was a Zachariah Thompson who was also in Wilkes at the same time (prior to 1790) who may have been Benjamin's brother. Benjamin had a son by the same name, and was originally from Bute Co., N.C. His father was also named Benjamin. All of Benjamin Sr's siblings arrived from Ireland in 1740.
