Steve, I have information on Solomon Tanner FORWARD, but nothing on his parents. Was the information after your message, results of research you have done. I do notice that a great many Tanners were in Effingham County in the mid 1700's. You are correct in one thing. The Tanner surname is HUGE in Washington County. I am not a descendent of a Tanner, but run into the name constantly with Tompkins, Avant, Waller.......the list goes on and on. Good luck, Judy Ennis Larson
