To: TYSON Family Researchers From: Paul D Tyson Re: TYSON GENEALOGY NETWORK MEETING There will be a meeting of the "Tyson Genealogy Network" at the Franklin Memorial Library in Swainsboro, Georgia on Saturday 28 April 2001 beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm. I would like to take this opportunity to invite any TYSON descendant, or anyone else that would be interested, to this meeting. The "Tyson Genealogy Network" holds annual meetings in odd numbered years in locations where there has been a strong migration of TYSON families. We have had meetings in Pitt County, North Carolina; Anson County, North Carolina; Montgomery County, Tennessee; and Ouachita County, Arkansas. This was the main migration route for the Arkansas and Texas descendants of Mathias, Thomas, John, Jehu, Uriah Sr., and brothers Uriah Jr. and Noah Barber TISON/TYSON. Emanuel County, Georgia was chosen this year because it is near most of the counties in Georgia where there was a strong TYSON migration. Some of the group will arrive in Swainsboro on Wednesday 25 April and some plan on visiting the Ladson Library in Vidalia on Thursday 26 April and visit different cemeteries on Friday 27 April. We will be staying at the Bradford Inn in Swainsboro, Georgia. There is no charge for this meeting. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I will try to answer them. Hope to see many of you in Swainsboro in April. Regards, Paul Dean Tyson Clinton, South Carolina
