Hello, I live in Torrance, CA. and am researching my mother's family in GA. They lived in Washington Co. and moved to Johnson Co....Adrain GA. I am looking for info. on Enoch A. Oliver who was a sherrif in Adrain in the late 1800s; he married Evaline (Evie) P. Braddy in 1891 in Washington Co. They had 6 children: Dennis, Thomas Edward,Cleo, Claude, Thelma, and Mary...all born in Adrain. My big question is who was the real mother of Enoch...Melica Mayo shows on the census as having raised him, but on Enoch's death certificate Millin Walker is listed as mother..info. was given by son Thomas Edward Oliver.
