Hello Everyone! I've got two things I wanted to tell everyone about. First, the Washington County Genealogy Committee is working on a book titled "Families of Washington County" Everyone is invited to submit their family histories. The deadline is June 2001. The books will be hardbound and indexed and will have a researcher directory where you can have your name, address and email (you do not have to be in the directory ). We hope that this will prove to be a thorough compilation of family histories. Histories should be in story type form (no pedigrees or Gedcoms please). Histories may be submitted electronically via email or through regular snail mail. If you have questions or would like to submit your history, please contact me at alogue@sandersville.net or the Washington County Genealogy Committee at washingtoncounty@hotmail.com The other thing is , Washington County is forming a chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Anyone who has a Confederate ancestor and would like to join, please contact me alogue@sandersville.net We will be having a meeting on Sunday, February 18, 2001 at 2:30 P.M. in the Genealogy Museum.
