Does anyone have information about a Cowart family I found in Washington Co. in the 1840 Census? Penny D. Cowart is listed as Head of Household w/2 males 14-20; 1 female 15-20; 1 female 20-30. I am trying to find the mother of Mary Ann Cowart b. Dec. 27, 1822 who married David E. Clark b. October 20, 1822, son of Joshua & Jane. Mary Ann & David are in the 1850 Washington Co. Census Index: Household #796, page 256A: David E. Clark, 26, GA Planter Mary Ann E. Clark, 27, GA Mary Ann E. Clark, 1, GA Mary Ann & David had 6 children.
