Waycross Journal-Herald, Monday, January 26, 1948: DAVID JESSE LEE David Jesse Lee, 73, of Manor, died about noon Sunday after an extended illness. He is survived byhis wife; two sons, Virgil V. Lee, Waycross and Calvin Lee, Blackshear, two daughters, Mrs. Richard Barber, Manor, and Mrs. W.A. Crawford, Hilliard, Fla., one sister, Mrs. Nan Proctor, Waycross and one brother, the Rev. T.M. Lee, Darien. Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the graveside in Kettle Creek Church cemetery. Mincy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
