    1. [GAWARE] My Soapbox
    2. Hi All, I sent the the message below to Cheryl. With an unusual middle name like Xmas, I figured a quick search would not be amiss. Normally, I don't post messages like this back to the list since, as Sharon said, Cheryl is not a subscriber. But lately I've seen messages (not just on this list) stating that once a person has posted their query, they're not getting help. Not all help is posted back to the lists. And not all queries can be answered by someone on the list. Just because no one had the answer to your first query, doesn't mean you shouldn't keep on posting. I often do lookups in resources that I have here at home and finding nothing, make no reply to the list. Should we fill up the GAWARE mailbox with things like: " I checked XXXX but didn't find anything." I don't think so. But please don't think your post is unimportant. And please don't give up. You never know, the person who joined this morning might just have the answer you're looking for. Happy Hunting! (I'll get off my soapbox now.) Sharon wrote: Could some of you help Cheryl? 3. Kati, Amen sister! Good Soapbox sermon. <G> I want to say right here, how proud I feel to be a part of the group here at GAWARE. I know in my heart based on the couple of years I've seen y'all in action, that when I post a message like that to this list that almost all of you will take the time to look at your data. Some will even be able to help at times. I don't even have to follow up to ask if you did, because I just know that is how you are. I have shared this before, but will say again. Almost without fail, when I have helped someone else...not long afterward, I too, have received new information about one of my lines. This isn't 'why' I help of course, but in all areas of life the goodness we give comes back. Genealogy is the same way. My sincere hope is that good blessings are 'multiplied' back to each of you good people here in this group. You deserve it. You make mine and Judy Robert's jobs as Co-Manager & Manager easy ones GAWARE Friends and Cousins. Thank You! Sharon Wright Kati wrote: >Not all help is posted back to the lists.
