Joel, He might be in Appling County. Where he lived is still referred to as Newbern Creek Community and was originally in Appling County. Thanks, I was told there was a record he transferred his membership to it, and that date was close to his death date, i'm assuming he proably was then buried there. Thanks again for the leads. joel -----Original Message----- From: Olivia Mullis <oliviamullis@carolina.rr.com> To: GAWARE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, 04 Apr 2006 17:16:55 -0400 Subject: Re: [GAWARE] Macedonia Baptist Church in Ware County Joel, He might be in Appling County. Joel, Newbern Creek Community is now located in Pierce County. It's been so long since I lived in Blackshear I can't remember the road numbers. I call it the Alma highway. I think today if you can find it on a current map the road is named Alvin Walker Road. Newbern Creek school used to be at the intersection of the Alma Road and Alvin Walker. Alvin Walker was my dad's brother. Lott Cemetary is on the Ware County page. I checked it yesterday for you and found nothing. ;-) Olivia By the way I too am related to the Newburns thru Capt Jmes A.Sweat, Berrien Sweat Henderson and Littleberry Walker, Jr. jhewitt55@aol.com wrote: > Olivia, > > After your post I researced a few maps and posted on Appling rootsweb > with no success on finding the community or creek, do you have more > specifics like road names towns etc? > > Or a particular map that may have this info? > > thanks > > Joel > > -----Original Message----- > From: Olivia Mullis <oliviamullis@carolina.rr.com> > To: GAWARE-L@rootsweb.com > Sent: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 17:16:55 -0400 > Subject: Re: [GAWARE] Macedonia Baptist Church in Ware County > > Joel, > > He might be in Appling County.
