GAWARE Friends and Cousins, Do any of you have any tried and true ways of cleaning tombstones? If so, how about sharing them. I have heard of folks using cornmeal then rinsing well. Just read an article where a guy uses shaving cream! He says it has a very safe pH and suggests carrying a pump-up garden sprayer with you on genealogical trips to cemeteries. Another lady says she always keeps a sheet of styrofoam with her for rubbing the stones clean, and a soft cloth for wiping the styrofoam residue. What say YE? Sharon
