Hi Sharon! It's been a while. I've been off searching in other directions for families. I actually haven't been reading the digest for months & months - just deleting it. Sorry! Thought I better check in and see what was going on. Don't want to loose contact. I posted my main line names in the subject box but have dozens and dozens of relatives that married into families of old Ware County and Lowndes, Echols, Clinch, Appling and on into North Florida - Hamilton, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor etc. etc. I think my mother's family must be related to everyone in the area at some point over the generations. Hope your research on Abraham & Mary Lamb Starling line progressed well. Did you ever find any of the other names for the 10 siblings besides James T. Starling, your Sara Ann Starling Emerson and Zalia Starling? It is hard to believe that all those children died young or as young adults except James T. If you ever do find a record - let me know. Hi there. You mention McLeod and Hamiliton Co, Florida. Do you have anything on a Harriet McLeod that married a Simeon Westberry, CSA, son of Rabun Westberry, CSA? (This is not the SC Harriet) Simeon died in 1907, possibly in Florida. Harriet lived on and applied for a pension, CSA, in 1928, in Florida. It was denied, read this and see why; Westberry, Simeon A. -- Private - September 9, 1861. Captured at Murfreesboro, Tennessee December 7, 1864. Enlisted in U.S. Army at Camp Chase, Ohio, March 20, 1865, and transferred to Chicago, Illinois same date. (Born October 4, 1844.) However, I have forgiven him as he did return home. Any help on Harriet will be greatly appreciated. cw I will also add that if you read the book, Company Aytch, you will have a different perspective on some desertions. Sharon can tell you where to get it. c ----- Original Message ----- From: <GJTenacity@aol.com> To: <GAWARE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2002 3:53 PM Subject: [GAWARE] Re: STARLING, LEE, LEIGH, MCLEOD, CAMPBELL, TAYLOR, MCDANIEL/MCDONAL
