Wanda, Thanks for the great pictures of the Hilliard tombstones and your file on the Silas Hilliard family. I have a few questions I hope you can clear up and a minor difference. You show Benjamin Guy's date of death as May 15, 1893. The microfilm in Bartow Genealogical Library of the Bartow Courier-Informant has obit on Benjamin in 17 May 1893 issue and lists date of death as 14 May 1893. In the Benjamin Hilliard and Mary Beverly family, you have listed as third child, Louvinia b 1842. I find this family on Hillsborough Co. Fl. Census of 1850 with the following people: William 33, Mary 28, Nancy 13, William 11, Edward 9, Matilda 6, Vecy 4, Thomas 2 and James 3/12. By the 1860 census, Benjamin shows up with second wife and 4 yr old Chris. I have seen Louvinia in other researcher's file but have not been able to find out how she was connected to Benjamin. Can you clear this up? Also, where was Mary Beverly Hilliard and all those children in 1860? Any help would certainly be appreciated! --
Gary , Glad to hear from you and hope you enjoy my pages . To answer your first question about Benjamin Guy it may just have been a typo on my part!!! as for Benjamin Hilliard I had a cousin send me 73 megs of info on my family this may have been part of it but I'm not sure I will research this matter and see what I can find out and get back with you. I have more info on the Hilliard's .I have a picture of The Hilliard house that is in a museum in Waycross ( Yes the house not a picture of the house the real four room house) if you'd like to see it I'd have to find it. (It may even be on my page I'd have to check) I have some other stuff to just have to find where I stored it. So let me know if you'd like to see it and I'll send .I'll make up a list of what I have for you. Wanda Hammond
