GAWARE List Members, Barbara suggested the searching of the Card Catalog at the library in Ware County. This link is on our Ware County GAGenWeb site, and is at the bottom of this message. Maybe some haven't thought to search the Card Catalog. Barbara's experience as a librarian comes in handy to help with research. <G> She suggested typing the word "genealogy" in the search engine. There are 308 items available under this search key. Here are a few more tips she offers: There are grants and people can give books in memory of deceased loved ones instead of flowers. Books are forever. [A very nice thought isn't it?] Any card catalog to any Library can be accessed. People should really be encouraged to check out libraries' genealogy collections on line before they visit them to do research. That way they can plan their time to the best advantage. The Anderson Library at Macon is one of the very best in the South. They are extremely helpful if you e-mail them. They used to copy indexes for patrons too. A small fee but it was worth it. Then you could order the pages pertaining to your family. Most libraries will do this service for a fee, usually copying cost and $5.00 handling fee.
