The Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist church is no longer in use. My great, great grandfather, Lewis Jarrell Henderson is buried in this cemetery. The Carr William Thrift mentioned in this e-mail was my great-great grandfather. His daughter, Margaret (Margie) Thrift married Peter HenryGriffin. They were my great grandparents. I attended the service honoring Lewis Henderson by the Sons of the Confederacy. I was amazed at the large number of people who attended this service. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN is written on his monument. (Lewis' wife, Martha Ann Miller Henderson-Thornton, is buried in the Mount Olive P B church yard in Manor, GA; her second husband, George W.Thornton Is buried in High Bluff P B cemetery.) So many people linked in history and lived their adventures on and in the Okefenokee Swamp. God bless their memories as we discover and uncover their lives. Christopher Boyd
