Lived in Appling County Ga. 1880 cenus. He seemed to have dropped out of the sky into Appling County. He must of had some reason to be in this area, maybe other kin folks. The 1880 cenus shows him being born in NC. They also show his name as John D. that's wrong, his name was John R., He married Adaline Leggett of Appling County in 1878. They show in the 1890 cenus, then in 1900 Adaline shows as a widow. Not sure what happen to him or where he is buried. If any of this rings a bell or if you have any thoughts please send info.
