She was born November 20, 2001 in Alma. The survivors other than her parents are two sisters, Suzie and Brittany; two brothers, Lance and Jimmy; her grandparents, Randall and Ruby Turner of Jacksonville, Fla., Bubba and Sue Bramlitt of Hortense, and Debbie McLaughlin of Waycross. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 6 until 8 o'clock. Nov. 28, 2001: Mr. Cecil Herrin, 82, incomplete Mr. James Benjamin Scarborough, 81, (11-27-2001) Macon native (Music Funeral Home, Waycross) May 14, 1920 - November 27, 2001 Mr. James Benjamin Scarborough, 81, died suddenly Tuesday (November 27, 2001) in Satilla Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Macon but had resided in Waycross since 1947. He was son of the late Herchel Vernon Scarborough and Maude Moore Scarborough and was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Altman. He retired from Peeler Hardware Co. after working 54 years for them. He served in the Air Force during World War II and was a prisoner of war. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Victory-Keystone Sunday School Class, Usher of the Church, Waycross Elks Club and was a Mason. The survivors include his wife of 56 years, Eloise Hays Scarborough of Waycross; two daughters, Jan Wieland (husband Tim), Becky Dell (husband Clyde) of Waycross; two grandchildren, Jamie Bruner (wife Heather) of Waycross, Kimberly Cagle of Atlanta; a son-in-law, Terry Altman (wife Ellen) of Waycross; a sister, Emily McDonald (husband Gene) of Americus; a brother, Vernon Scarborough (wife Doris) of Macon. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Wednesday night from 6 until 8 o'clock. He was a native of Clinch County but had resided in Waycross for the past 23 years. He was owner of Tempco and was a former truck driver. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Swamp Road Baptist Church. The survivors include his wife, Shirley Altman Temple of Waycross; two daughters, Kaycee Pitts and Krystal Temple both of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Billy Temple of Orlando, Fla.; a step-daughter, Dana Stone of Waycross; two step-sons, Dwayne Reed of Brunswick, Dennis Reed of Hilliard, Fla.; his father and mother, Clarence and Mary Smith of Homerville; a sister, Charlotte Robinson of Homerville; a brother, Gary Temple of Homerville; 12 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Swamp Road Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cannon, pallbearers Mr. Norman Christian Holst, pallbearers Thurs., Nov. 29, 2001: Mr. Cecil Herrin, 82 (11-27-2001) Burroughs, Ga. native (Music Funeral Home, Waycross) September 15, 1919 - November 27, 2001 Mr. Cecil Herrin, 82, died Tuesday (November 27, 2001) in Satilla Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was a native of Burroughs, Ga. but had resided in Waycross most of his life. He was son of the late Abraham Preston Herrin and Idelle Dowling Herrin and was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Lancewell Herrin and Earl L. Herrin. He was retired owner of Cecil Herrin Home Furnishings. He served during World War II as a Captain in the 3rd Army of the European Theatre and received the bronze star. Mr. Herrin was a member of First Baptist Church, a deacon and taught sunday school. He was a life member and chairman for many years of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, a Mason, a Ware County Commissioner, past president of the Waycross/Ware Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Waycross Rotary Club, a member of the Waycross Elks Club and Okefenokee Golf and Country Club, served on the Georgia Retail Home Furnishing Association Board of Directors, served on the founding steering committee of the Harold Learning Center, in 1955 received the first Waycross Jaycee Outstanding Young Man Award, and received the 1989 Morris Jacobson Brotherhood Award. The survivors include his wife of 55 years, Evelyn Gillis Herrin of Waycross; three sons, Charles E. Herrin of Covington, Jimmy Herrin (wife Janet) and Tommy Herrin both of Waycross; two granddaughters, Holly L. Herrin of Athens, Lauren O. Herrin of Statesboro; a sister, Sue Herrin Papadeas of Waycross; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Oakland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Thursday night from 7 until 9 o'clock. Any past or present Salvation Army Advisory Board members are requested to meet at the cemetery Friday at 10:45 a.m. to serve as honorary pallbearers. He was native of Brantley County and had resided most of his life in Brantley and Ware County. He was son of the late Zibe King and Alice Roberson King and was preceded in death by four brothers, Leroy, David, Junior and Floyd King. He was retired supervisor with Scapa Dryers. His CB name was ''Matchbox'' and he talked locally and all over the world. He was president of the Twin Lake Hunting Club. The survivors include his longtime loving companion, Peggy King Chastain of Nahunta; a son, Parnell King, Jr. (wife Robbi) of Fitzgerald; four daughters, Linda Thornton (husband Gary), Margie Walker (husband David), Debra Simpson (husband C.H.), and Reba Woodard (husband Dale) all of Waycross; eight sisters, Lorena Griffin and Erma Grace Crews both of Waycross, Loretta Waldron, Lois Corbitt and Marie Petty all of Manor, Mary Clubb of Hortense, Winnie Johnson of Yulee, Fla., Wileen Proctor of Atlanta; three brothers, Mack King of Waycross, Edward King and Ervin King both of Nahunta; three half brothers, Zibe King, Jr. and Barney King both of Nahunta, Melvin King of Hoboken; former spouse, Evangeline Clubb King of Waycross; 11 Grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
