Sharon when I start feeling that way, I just start with myself again, work back and document everything with a document. Birth, marriage, census, obit, newspaper article, cemetery record, obit of siblings, wills, deeds, and the list just goes on and on..............Sharon Broward Davis -----Original Message----- From: shadri [mailto:shadri@gtcom.net] Sent: Friday, January 27, 2006 11:54 AM To: GAWARE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [GAWARE] FamilyTree List, I received as a gift a few days ago (hit the big 5-0!) the new 2006 FTM. I was using v8, so it was a total new look for me! I think I like it tho. It came with a subscription to ancestry.com and I'm looking forward to digging thru some records again for the first time in a while. Just did a brief search for my gg-Grandfather George Washington DRIVER who is on the 1850 Ware County Census. So far, haven't found a George to match him. But do find quite a few Georges, and Geo. Wash. Driver men. Have any of you ever found that after years of searching you have been chasing the wind? I sometimes fear that all I 'thought' I knew about this family after my gg-Grandfather William Riley Driver & his father the above mentioned George Washington Driver, is WRONG. Maybe I will start with a clean slate and forget all that has been published before and chase every trail? I just wish they hadn't dusted out their tracks so well!
