    3. TO EVERYONE I agree with Lorraine, we are here to share and share alike........if you are having a problem with too many emails........HIT DELETE...............what is of no significance to one person may well be VERY SIGNIFICANT to a lot of others.............Barb, you as well as many others have provided a wealth of good information and please don't let it stop just because someone is complaining. My email is set up to review all of the email senders and subjects before I even open them, so if they don't pertain to me or are of no interest I can easily delete them if I choose, as can anyone else. 3. No let JH step up to the plate and not hid behind initials' we all post our given names at least and we all share, this JH should either share or find the delete button. It's located at the top of the Numeral keys and is usually the first key to the left! If you can't find that, then try this link: [email protected] It works great if you don't want so many e-mail's and don't really care about Genealogy! But if you wish to stick it out and perhaps learn something along the way.......................................that's fine with us as well. We love to share what we know, why not instead of complaining, why don't you just tell us what it is you need to know? We may surprise and even shock the socks off of you! Chances are one of us already may have "JUST WHAT YOU NEED!" But you may NEVER find that out by complaining! My name is Gail Moore by the way! 3. I appreciate your asking me to stay. I was not going to become more involved in the conversation but several have opened a door and I am stepping through it. I have enjoyed the gala stories that have been posted. For what our children don't care to hear now that dosen't hear to their liken they will one day be aged as I have and wish I had someone to share these stories and sayings. I am here to learn about geneaology and adding humor and stories is great. Where else would I have found the wonderful recipe for Cornbread as grams used to make. I wish a many a days I had sat and listened with open ears to my mother tell her stories and actually hear what she said. Our lives have became to hurried to enjoy anothers company . I do enjoy these stories and will never forget the CASTOR OIL and BROWN BOTTLED ORANGE CRUSH. While I am on the subject could someone pass me a MOON PIE, A RC COLA AND SOME PEANUTS??? Barb By the way I am happy someone takes the time to have a program like this. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gail Moore" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 31, 2005 9:57 AM Subject: Re: [GAWARE] Re: EMAILS > No let JH step up to the plate and not hid behind initials' we all post > our given names at least and we all share, this JH should either share or > find the delete button. > It's located at the top of the Numeral keys and is usually the first key > to the left! > If you can't find that, then try this link: > [email protected] > It works great if you don't want so many e-mail's and don't really care > about Genealogy! > But if you wish to stick it out and perhaps learn something along the > way.......................................that's fine with us as well. > We love to share what we know, why not instead of complaining, why don't > you just tell us what it is you need to know? > We may surprise and even shock the socks off of you! > Chances are one of us already may have "JUST WHAT YOU NEED!" > But you may NEVER find that out by complaining! > > My name is > Gail Moore by the way! 3. Hi Bill, What I have is this: Easter (that is how I found it spelled) Hester Crews b. 1840, daughter of Micajah Crews (1810-1877) and Emiliza Robinson (1822-1896) married Jesse Altman, Sr. (1815-1928), on January 18, 1853 in Wayne County, GA. 3. Bill, My bad.....I should have looked at my database closely to see if this Jesse Altman, Sr. had any other wives then I would have clarified the list of children I provided. I have him listed with 3 wives as follows: Nancy Elizabeth Cason (b. 1819- d. after April 22, 1851 Children: Eminizer Altman b. 04/22/1851 d. 04/18/1926 m. Isham (CSA) Aldridge Harriett Altman b. 08/18/1837 d. 04/03/1914 m. Cornelius Barber Samuel Altman b. 1840 Elizabeth Altman b. 1842 Jasper Altman b. 1844 Mary Altman b. 1845 Jesse Altman, Jr. b. 1849 Easter Hester Crews and I gave you the information on their children. Mary M. Altman b. abt 1845 d. 1900 in Baker County, FL ( I have them listed in the 1880 census of Baker County, FL, Enumeration District 10, Precinct 3, Family # 181) Children: Susetta Altman b. 1869 Lovey Altmah b. 1874 Joseph Altman b. 1876 Sarah Altman b. 1877 Thomas Altman b. 1879 Georgia A. b. 1882 I have Mary M. Altman as daughter of Jacob L. Altman (1825-1891) and Levicy Dowling (1825-1878). The variances in the age for Jesse Altman, Sr. is not unusual for anyone really back in those days........I have found age discrepancies from 1 year off to 5 years off. But I believe this is one in the same Jesse Altman, Sr. Does this help?
