Edmund Corbitt was a son of John Corbitt and Penny Ukn. He was married to Elender (Nellie) Carter (1 July 1826- 23 Mar 1890). Edmund and Nellie were both born in Appling Co., GA. She died in Ware Co., GA and he died of disease in the CSA in Richmond, VA They were my great-great-grandparents. I have several Nancy Bennetts in my FTM files but I can't identify this Nancy Bennett who was born in 1815 and was living with Edmund and his mother, Penny in this 1850 census. I desend from Edmund and Nellie through their daughter Cecilia Ann Corbitt who married Jacob Riley White, the son of another CSA casualty, Allen Van White who married Delphia Minchew. Christopher Boyd
