    3. >Sharon, Petty's are my brick wall I can't get past my great great grandfather Stephan/Stephen Petty he married Delilah Cox Daughter of James and Frances Cox from Ware County I have lots on Deliah's family but nothing on him Wanda< You have always been so generous with all of us, I would love to help you find some of your most wanted. I will keep my eyes open for him as I am going thru these Census. Some of the spellings are quite creative on some of the Census. I have always seen the name Fuqua(y)...but on the 1860 Lafayette County, FL Census today, it was spelled Fukeway. Not one of my lines, it just made me smile when I saw it. I got the 1800 Censuses( sp?) for both North Carolina and South Carolina, the entire states. Haven't even looked at South Carolina and only a small portion of the Mecklenburg County section of North Carolina...I was amazed at all the 'widows' listed! I guess it being so soon after the American Revolutionary War..but it is the beatinest thing you ever saw at the number of widows. Don't know if it will just be Mecklenburg county or all of 'em yet.
