There is a picture of Lem Griffis in the book "about --- "Old Okefenok". This book was published in 1947--a mere 55 years ago. Under the picture it says : LEM GRIFFIS WHO OPERATES A FISHING CAMP AT FARGO. Is Lem related to anyone on the list?? LINDA
Linda, I'm not sure if Mr. Griffis is one of my 'direct' ancestors...there are soooooo many of them :-) But, we have our Evans reunion at the 'swamp' down in Fargo and it's been told that he had a fish camp on that side of the swamp. We even tried to find it once but the water was too low and it was m-u-d-d-y as all get out so we didn't attempt to go down some of those trails :-) NancyP At 07:18 PM 1/8/02 -0500, you wrote: >There is a picture of Lem Griffis in the book "about --- "Old Okefenok". >This book was published in 1947--a mere 55 years ago.
