I was tickled to see my STARLINGs show up on Cathy's post pp 124A-B. Abraham STARLING was my ggg-grandfather. He married Mary E. LAMB in Madison County, Florida. They were living in Clinch County, Georgia on the 1860 Census, with my gg-grandmother Sarah Ann STARLING, listed then as 2 years old. Sarah Ann married Joseph W. EMERSON. She had two daughters. After the birth of my great-grandmother Sophia EMERSON, Sarah Ann died. My great-grandmother and her sister Lula were adopted by Abraham STARLING when my great-grandmother Sophia was eight days old.
