    2. >From the Daytona Beach, FL News-Journal, January 29, 2002: Fred Solomon NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Fred L. Solomon, 80, of Swan Avenue, who worked in the areospace industry, died Sunday at home. Mr. Solomon, an Army veteran of World War II serving as a staff sergeant, was born in Douglas, Ga., and came to this area in 1958 from Valdosta, Ga. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Angler's Yacht Club and Local 295 United Association of the AFL-CIO. Survivors include his wife, Lucy; three sons, Fred Jr., St. Petersburg, Ronald, Lakeland, and James, Franklin, N.C.; a daughter, Deborah Solomon, Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Henry, Douglas, Ga.; a sister, Hazel Powell, Ocilla, Ga.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge. Fred's wife Lucy was born Lucille McKinnon.
