Thomas, died Thursday afternoon (01-24-02) at the Life Care Center in Orange Park, Florida after an extended illness. She had lived most of her life in Brantley County where she was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having graduate from the Okefenokee Technical College. She is survived by two daughters Judy Oates and her husband Sonny of Albany, Ga. and Ginger Trisch of Jacksonville, Fla.; Three sons Lamar Thomas and his wife Nina of Callahan, Fla., Rev. Johnny Thomas and his wife Donna of Orange Park, Fla. and Byron Thomas and his wife Connie of Middleburg, Fla.; two sisters Rutha Griffis of Blackshear, Ga. and Leigh Murphy of Waldo, Fla.; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning (01-26-02) at eleven o'clock in the chapel of the Miles-Odum Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from six until eight o'clock Friday night.
