Thanks again, Sharon! I unsubscribed from excite a few weeks ago because of my email problems, but realized later that I was still receiving Gaware messages. It wasn't 'til last night that I found out I was getting them still. Sometimes I can get into excite mail, sometimes I cannot. I unsubscribed again from there last night. I didn't have tulipsmail that long and I started having alot of problems with them also. It freezes up my computer, bad. I had to unsubscribe from there also. I know what you mean about finding artifacts addicting. Funny thing is, doing the treasure hunting hobby is what led me to doing genealogy. I was doing some local history research at the library and to my delight I found my great grandmother, Pearl Aldridge Gunter listed in a book. I had to find more names, and I was hooked ever since!!!! I haven't found anything major with my metal detector yet, but in my back yard, I found a Packard 8 car emblem. My thought was to locate the relatives of the people who might have lived here in the 50's. It may have been a family car, and thought maybe they would like to have the emblem as a treasured memory. I haven't done so yet. But doing the metal detecting hobby, I won't be able to keep anything because I think maybe "The relatives" would like to have it. That is what genealogy has done to me. I often think that I would love to hold in my hand something that my ancestors have had once. I do more genealogy now than I do digging. Both are so much fun! Have a great day Sharon! Gotta go to work... Joy
