    1. Re: [GAWARE] Sharing Stories-McQuaig/Bryan/Long/MacPherson/O'Connor/Downs?
    2. Just a idea Since there are many with stories concerning GAWARE ancestors, then maybe the list keeper can create a GAWARESTORIES rootsweb list?? Or a reciepts GAWARE LIST? I have seen specific subjects created under county state rootsweb lists that narrow down subjects, this is especially helpful for those who do searches for specific info Joel -----Original Message----- From: Operch551@aol.com To: GAWARE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, 7 Nov 2005 15:57:49 EST Subject: [GAWARE] Sharing Stories-McQuaig/Bryan/Long/MacPherson/O'Connor/Downs? Hi, I hope no one objects to me changing the subject line. I love hearing stories of all the families in the Ware area, along with other nearby areas, and to learn where people from this area came from, went to, what they did in their everyday lives, etc. There are so many families who I believe tie in with mine or who may have known each other; therefore, having information that could flesh out my ancestor. I am becoming so familiar with some of our last names (names we are looking for), that I have become interested in people who are probably not related to me, but they lived at the same time my ancestors lived and in some ways, had to go through the same good times and bad times. I'm not being nosey, just interested! In a family type of way, I suppose. While looking up information regarding several of my names, I've been in libraries searching through many newspapers for 'that certain name'. While doing this, I've become pretty aware of world events that were taking place at the time someone was born, died, etc. These events had profound influences in some of our ancestors lives. I am trying to say, in my rambly way, that some of us, me, are interested in all sorts of information about Ware County, GA. You never know when one of us will write about someone who is related to us or knew our family very well. Sorry for being so wordy - I hope I made sense. I like it here:) Take Care Everyone, KathyP Looking for: McQuaig: William Augustus McQuaig, Myrtle (McQuaig) Downing? or Downs?, Mary Mollie (Bryan) McQuaig-1--remarried William? Long-2, Rosa (McQuaig) MacPherson, Mary Bell (McQuaig) O'Connor, Jimpsey Neil McQuaig, Carolyn (Miller) McQuaig, etc. Miller: Carolyn (Miller) McQuaig MacPherson: Walter MacPherson, Rosa (McQuaig) MacPherson Bryan: Mary Mollie (Bryan) McQuaig, etc. Downs?: Myrtle (McQuaig) Downs or Downing? I cannot tell what her married name is. O'Connor: Mary Bell (McQuaig) O'Connor, Charles O'Connor (b. Poultney, VT, d.?) And more.... In a message dated 11/7/2005 2:20:00 P.M.
