I AM LOTS BETTER- CAN BREATH AND HAVE CUT MY COUGHING OVER 90 %. THIS MOVE HAS DONE WONDERS WITH MY HEALTH. I GUESS BY NOW ALL OF YOU KNOW THAT I LOST THE HOUSE, DUE TO BLACK MOLD, IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR JOYCE AND OLIVIA, I MAY BE DEAD BY NOW OR EVEN SICKER THAN I WAS. THE DR SUGGESTED THAT I LEAVE EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE. WELL I SAVED THE LIBRARY AND THE MICROFILM MACHINE. I HAD TO TAKE THE MACHINE- WE DON'T QUITE HAVE IT PAID FOR- I PUT $1400.00 ON IT LAST YEAR AND HAVE ONE OR TWO MORE PAYMENTS TO MAKE. ANYWAY I HAD IT CLEANED WITH SOME STUFF I WAS NOT ABLE TO BREATH. MY BROTHER WORKED HOURS ON IT. THE LIBRARY IS IN STORAGE AND SOMEHOW COME HELL OR HIGH WATER THOSE BOOKS WILL BE CLEANED THIS COMING YEAR. I DO NOT HAVE THE ENERGY TO BEGIN LOOKING FOR CHEMICALS TO CLEAN THE BOOKS. BUT, WHETHER THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY. THE BOOKS ARE NOT DAMAGED- OR SOILED- I JUST CANNOT BE NEAR THEM UNTIL THE MOLD IS COMPLETELY GONE. I STILL OWE EVERY ONE THREE HOOT OWLS AND A FEW OF YOU ALL FOUR- YOU WILL BE RECEIVING TWO OR THREE WHAT EVER THE CASE MAY BE AT THE FIRST OF THE YEAR AND THEN I WILL ONLY OWE YOU ONE - I HAVE STARTED ON THE FOURTH ONE BUT THE INCREASE OF BUSINESS AT THE COMPANY WHERE I WORK HAS DOUBLED WITH THIS NEW LOW INTEREST RATE AND HAS ZAPPED MY STRENGTH SOME. WE HAD A MEETING AND THE 2002 HOOT OWL EXPRESS WILL BE PUBLIISHED TRI ANNUALLY. 100 OR MORE PAGES IN EACH ISSUE - AND COMING OUT IN APRIL - AUGUST AND DECEMBER. YOU WILL NOT BE LOOSING ANY PAGES- IT JUST GIVES ME TIME TO RECUPPERATE FULLY BEFORE WE GO BACK TO QUARTERLIES. IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T HEARD THE HOOT OWL EXPRESS WILL BASED ON THE WAYCROSS JOURNAL HERALD- THE OLDER NEWSPAPERS STARTING WITH 1884/5. LISTING ALL THE DEATHS - BIRTHS, MARRIAGES- MURDERS, TRIALS, WHO SOLD WHAT AND TO WHOM- SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR YOUR RELATIVES IN AND AROUND WARE CO - THIS IS THE MAGAZINES YOU NEED- YOU WILL FIND THEM MORE INTERESTING I THINK- I AM QUITE EXCITED ABOUT THEM. WE ARE DOING A YEAR OR 1/2 YEAR AT EACH ISSUE- DEPENDING ON LOCAL NEWS LOOKS LIKE I AM IN NORTH GA FOR A LITTLE WHILE- I WOULD LIKE THE LIBRARY IN WARE CO - BUT SINCE IT WILL BE HERE FOR A WHILE - AT LEAST SOME OF THE MEMBERS IN AND AROUND ARLANTA CAN USE IT. JUST LET ME GET THE BOOKS CLEANED WE WILL STILL HAVE A QUERY SECTION- SO IF YOU WANT YOUR QUERY IN THE HOOT- PLEASE GIVE ME AN ADDRESS- AND IT MUST BE WARE CO RELATED. Here are some cemeteries I have visited. With the exception of Shiloh which I haven't starting working on yet, these are all the names I have. The info is transcribed from photos I took of the headstones. http://www.geocities.com/kimis.geo/gacemteries.html -- Kati Smith kimis@bellsouth.net http://groups.yahoo.com/group/segakin http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/3043

Connie: Do you recall the Johns families, the Floyd's and the Lee's and the Herrins around Hickox, and Nahunta GA area close to Waycross? My Mother was born in 1934 Hickox GA her parents were Mae Bell Johns but she changed it to Maybel as a child making it one letter shorter and one word. She married a cousin Harley Lovejoy Johns. Maybel was a 1/2 sister and older to George Johns, Vernon Johns, Ellis Johns, Betty Johns etc. Her parents were Albert Lewis Johns and Martha Jane Lee and her Step-Mother/Cousin was Martha Lee's daughter Irene Alvira Nettles who's Father was Martin Nettles Jr. Harley's parents were Dillie Lovejoy Johns and Minnie Hickox. Uncle George Johns had some children: One Margie Faye married a Crews he died just a bit back due to cancer. Aley and Myrtle Lee who live in between Hickox and Nahunta are my cousins. Both of them are: Aley is kin through Martha Jane Lee he is a Grandchild to her brother. Myrtle Lee was born a Strickland and goes back to Levi Strickland. Do you see anything in this. I would like to find more out about my Herrin connection one day. Grannie said we are kin but she never told me how and now she is gone.
