Edmund Corbitt was a son of John Corbitt and Penny Ukn. He was married to Elender (Nellie) Carter (1 July 1826- 23 Mar 1890). Edmund and Nellie were both born in Appling Co., GA. She died in Ware Co., GA and he died of disease in the CSA in Richmond, VA They were my great-great-grandparents. I have several Nancy Bennetts in my FTM files but I can't identify this Nancy Bennett who was born in 1815 and was living with Edmund and his mother, Penny in this 1850 census. I am sorry about your father he was young. Do you think the other children were in Florida and possibly stayed that might give you a clue if any of the siblings names are on the list in the same age range. Check the search engines like MSN, Lookwho etc. in the White Pages lookup for those names. There is a good chance most of those siblings are still living, since your father was born in 1953. Try these things if you need more help feel free to write me back. ms_painter@hotmail.com Good Luck, Nancy

Hi Everyone, Sarah Paffenroth has given me permisssion to post this NEW WILDES website on the GAWARE LIST. I hope that everyone enjoys it! LINDA CLARK It's Here!!! I am happy to announce that I have an ever growing yet functional website available for everyone's enjoyment! It's all about our family's heritage beginning with Max Wildes and the Massacre. There's information about the reunion, Okefenokee Park, and much more information to come. The biggest treat is the photo page. There are approximately 100 photos to view and more will be added as you and other family members begin contributing to the cause! Check out the website and let me know if I've made any errors in information (I'm sure there are plenty!!!!). Also, if you see any pictures without names and you know the name, please email me so I can correctly label them. Thanks and enjoy!
