Henry ACHORD born about 1787 "in GA" married Catherine ____ born about 1792 in SC. By the 1920 census they were in Louisiana. In 1851 in East Baton Rouge Parish he applied for a pension for 1812 service saying he was in Col Chambers Georgia Militia commanded by Captain Crowell and that he enlisted at Sandersville, Washington County, Ga. There are more Henry Achords in Ga about that same age than you can shake a stick at. About 20 years ago I went to Washington County to see what I could find in the records - found lots and lots of Achords (some of them named Henry) but nothing that I could definitely link to "my" Henry. They had a number of children some of which were born in Ga. This being one of the more active lists in Georgia (and one of the best) I thought I would throw out Henry and Catherine and see if I get anything back. Incidentally, I have been looking for them since the late 1960s - Are they familiar to anyone? Floreda

For you Roberts researchers, I have a Sarah Catherine Roberts in my family, who married Eli Rhodes about 1852. Eli and Catherine were born around 1830 and lived in western NC. Sarah Catherine had a sister named Louisa, who moved out west at some point. Do you know these 2 women? I haven't been able to pin down their parents. Thanks, Cathy
