    3. Virginia Crilley, I want to thank you for all the kindness you have shown to Ware County researchers. You have gone out of your way to help and encourage, to help get data online for this area. Once again, you have brought us some wonderful information on the ancestors of Ware County. I hope the RootsWeb Staff realizes what a treasure they have in you. As I doubt there are any who are any more dedicated to the cause, nor any more sacrificial of their valuable time as you. I know Ware County isn't your area of personal research and also know that there are many other areas where you are helping out. But please know you will always be appreciated and welcome among this GAWARE group. On behalf of us all, I say again "Thank You." Sharon

    3. RE George Lee query by Teresa; Don't have much more but can confirm that Mr Woodard's George Lee is the same as married Serena Miller, same George, Jr given on page 181-182 of Vol II, PWG. He and Serena had eleven known children: DAVID Jesse (md Tobitha Dryden and had dau Edna Pearl), JAMES, Rebecca, MARGARET (he said Margaret md a Musgrove), Mary (md Dempsey Griffin and had dau Rachel), ELIZABETH (Becky), Harmon, STEVE, NANCY (could be the one he knew as "Nan" and says had a twin brother and married a Musgrove), THOMAS and Henry. That's six of the siblings he named; too much to be just coincidence. My source furnished the names of children of George and Serena, but no dates and sources referenced. Cannot find any of them in any census data I have access to, after 1850 Ware where child George (age 10) shows on page 108A living between William Johnson and Martin L. Blackburn families. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Teresa Griffis" <tgriffis@wayxcable.com> To: <GAWARE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2002 11:05 PM Subject: [GAWARE] George Lee, 1840-1911 > Anyone have some information to share on this George Lee, born May 2, > 1840 in Ware Co., and died Jan 26, 1911. 1. [GAWARE] George Lee, 1840-1911
    2. Teresa Griffis
    3. Anyone have some information to share on this George Lee, born May 2, 1840 in Ware Co., and died Jan 26, 1911. Married to Serena Miller. Someone who does not have access to internet and our GAWARE list asked if I could find out about this family and his children. It seems one of his daughters, Nean or Nan, not sure of the spelling, took in and raised some of the children of Ira W. Woodard (1898-1943) and wife Pearl Musgrove (1901-1933) after they died. Only information Mr. Woodard has is that Nan married a Musgrove and her father was George Lee. She had sisters named Margaret, who married a Musgrove, and Becky; and she had a twin brother, name unknown, and brothers Tom, Steve, Dave, and Jim. Those are the ones he remembers. He said they were known as the "High Bluff Lees". I think this would be Brantley County. >From data I have this would be the family of George Lee and Serana Miller. Can anyone help? Teresa

    3. Dear List Members, This is a friendly reminder to clean up your messages when replying to a post. It is okay to hit reply, we all do that. So convenient! "However," please "highlight" and "cut" out the parts not necessary to what you are replying to. It only takes a moment or two. I have seen posts that didn't include any part of a previous message, nor even a reference to it. This isn't good either. People just read that and say "What in the world is Sharon talking about?" then delete me. Include just enough to let others know WHAT you are replying TO. Y'all are such a great group. Can't tell you how I enjoy your interaction with each other. Love to see cousins meeting and exchanging information. Keep up the good work friends and cousins. Sharon Wright
