This family was in Tattnall GA, Alabama, and Aluchua Florida. I dont know if they were anywhere else. I am looking for a William Fletcher Cox who married a Susan Matilda Partin. If any one can possibly help with this... I am at a dead end as for as finding where William was really born and where is is buried. I believe he is buried some where near Highsprings Florida along with a child. Grave may not be marked. I know that there were Cox in the Area... Mr. Connie Arnold White Mr. Connie A. White, age 69, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, in the V.A. Hospital, Lake City, Fla. He was a native of Ware County, Ga., and made Macclenny, Fla. his home thirty-one years ago. He was retired from the Atlantic Coastline Railroad after twenty-eight years of service and a U.S. Army Korean conflict veteran. He was a charter member of Macclenny First Congregational Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Leon Hobson and Augusta Mae McLean White. Survivors include his wife, Mae White of Macclenny, Fla.; son, Frank Mitchell White of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; daughter, Connie Augusta Griffis of Glen St. Mary, Fla; brother, Leon H. White of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; sister, Rose Merry Allen of Livermore, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was born in Lulaton, Georgia, daughter of the late Adolphus W. Brown and Lenora Odum Brown. She had lived most of her life in Ware County and was a member of the Deenwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers Moultrie Brown and Edgar Brown. She is survived by a daughter Darlene Thornton and her husband Carl of Waycross; one sister Thelma H. Farr of Leland, N. C.; two grandsons Lamar Thornton and his wife Teresa and Greg Thornton and his wife Chris all of Waycross; three great grandchildren Homer, Sarah and Candace Thornton all of Waycross; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon (3-8-02) at two o'clock at the Deenwood Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home from seven until nine o'clock Thursday night. Mrs. Ebbie C. Shuman, died Tuesday morning (3-5-02) at the St. Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., after an extended illness. She was born in Athens, Georgia, daughter of the late Elbert Collins and Lillie Lee Collins. She had lived most of her life in Ware and Brantley County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waycross; She is survived by one daughter Susan Delores Highsmith and her husband Tom of Richardson, Tex.; one brother Hoyt Collins of Athens, Ga.; a granddaughter Lauren Highsmith and a grandson Derek Highsmith; a number of nieces and nephews including Ted Shuman and Theresa Shuman of Waycross; Funeral services will be held Friday morning (3-8-02) at eleven o'clock in the chapel of the Miles-Odum Funeral Home. John A. was married x2, Lawrence is his son by his 1st marriage. I don't know who he married 1st but he married Mary Ellen about 1880.
