Thanks Gail, I didn't know the G was for Gordon, I will put that in my database......and I will ask Maragie about Owen Johns........ Sheila Gail Moore <[email protected]> wrote:The G in Jeremiah G. Sheila ask Margie about the Owen Johns who lived out towards Aunt Julie Batton and Uncle Arther's place who died with a brain tumor who was Margie's and Aunt Orene's age...................they went to school with him. It may answer some questions about some of this, Not real sure. Now for Cason I recall somewhere in my research I ran across that surname. I will need to find there was a Cason. Were they from Georgia, North or South CArolinia, Virginia? I see you are in Colorado. Glad you joined us. Lizzy was a second cousin to me. I also have a 1st cousin by name of Viola Gertrude Spivey. Hey Hey Hey My 86 year old mother enjoys all of these mailings. One liners and otherwise. It really kicks off her memory and I learn a whole bunch from her. Gail's recipes really hit her hot button. Those were from her grandmother that we refer to as Grand Ma Dave. Keep it up Gail. I print out everything and take it to her. Her vision won't allow her to read the screen but she does well with hard copy. Keep itcoming!!!!!! I appreciate your asking me to stay. I was not going to become more involved in the conversation but several have opened a door and I am stepping through it. I have enjoyed the gala stories that have been posted. For what our children don't care to hear now that dosen't hear to their liken they will one day be aged as I have and wish I had someone to share these stories and sayings. I am here to learn about geneaology and adding humor and stories is great. Where else would I have found the wonderful recipe for Cornbread as grams used to make. I wish a many a days I had sat and listened with open ears to my mother tell her stories and actually hear what she said. Our lives have became to hurried to enjoy anothers company . I do enjoy these stories and will never forget the CASTOR OIL and BROWN BOTTLED ORANGE CRUSH. While I am on the subject could someone pass me a MOON PIE, A RC COLA AND SOME PEANUTS??? No let JH step up to the plate and not hid behind initials' we all post our given names at least and we all share, this JH should either share or find the delete button. It's located at the top of the Numeral keys and is usually the first key to the left! If you can't find that, then try this link: [email protected] It works great if you don't want so many e-mail's and don't really care about Genealogy! But if you wish to stick it out and perhaps learn something along the way.......................................that's fine with us as well. We love to share what we know, why not instead of complaining, why don't you just tell us what it is you need to know? We may surprise and even shock the socks off of you! Chances are one of us already may have "JUST WHAT YOU NEED!" But you may NEVER find that out by complaining! My name is Gail Moore by the way! Barb...........it was your post that got this GREAT exchange going. I, for one, appreciate your getting it started. There has been a lot of valuable information shared here. Please re-consider and keep on posting to this list. There are a lot of wonderful people on this list who appreciate having information shared with them and they love sharing with others. Like Kati said, if there are too many posts for some they have the option of the Digest mode. Again, Barb, please don't stop posting....this is what makes genealogy worthwhile! TO EVERYONE I agree with Lorraine, we are here to share and share alike........if you are having a problem with too many emails........HIT DELETE...............what is of no significance to one person may well be VERY SIGNIFICANT to a lot of others.............Barb, you as well as many others have provided a wealth of good information and please don't let it stop just because someone is complaining. My email is set up to review all of the email senders and subjects before I even open them, so if they don't pertain to me or are of no interest I can easily delete them if I choose, as can anyone else. Strictly my opinion, but there it is. Sheila Brantley County, GA Researching: Crews, Rowell, Johns, Williams, Steedley, and a lot of others..............
