    3. Hi all, My ISP or something has been down (or I have) today. That's ok I've been playing!! hehe I'm impressed by our postal system. The check I wrote for the 1860 census is already in their hands, & they are aiming for a completion date of mid-April for the images to be online. How's that? I also received my 1840 census microfilm today, but haven't got a microfilmreader. Thanks to some of you, I did find some online--brand new for $490. That's a great price, but still a little steep for me! I was hoping I could get one of the old ones from my local library, but don't know who to talk with??? So...if someone wants to transcribe a census, they would need to: 1) Decide which year they wanted to do, & then see if it's been assigned. If not, sign up for it. 2) Gather all their materials, rent/purchase film, etc. Right? 3) Then they would...??? Ya'll help & fill in the blanks, in baby steps please. Not where a child can understnad, BUT where I can understand, ok? haha Gotta go--early to bed, early to rise--will put me in Sunday School on time!! Love ya all, Momma Walton <>< PS Make sure your surnames are listed in "Surnames Of Interest" section: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gawalton/ cause the surname project is coming soon--about 10 days or so!!!
