Hi all, To date we have 15 votes---14 yes, 1 no, until they have more information. There are 2 other places, besides S-K Publications, that does the census images online, but those you have to get permission each purchase to put them online. S-K does theirs automatically. Another advantage is they have always answered my questions within 24 hours. None of the others have answered anything at all. Transcriptions can & will be made from the images online by us (or if necessary, by me!) The 1850 census has been assigned for transcriptiions, the 1870 is done, but needs a proofreader (unless one has been found) I'm planning on doing the 1840, but not sure if I'm going to do it from online images, or my own supplies. I ordered the 1820 census image today, on behalf of the Gen-Kids--my treat! My understanding is that it'll be about 2 months before it's online. I'm still looking into getting some businesses to donate for some years. Wish me luck. If you have any ideas as to who to ask, let me know, or ask them yourself.
