Hi all, I thought I'd better hurry & check in with ya'll. I'm still cleaning my files, indexing the census for 1840 (almost done??). We have had some boogar storms here, so I unplug this lil jewel when those are around. We've also had some power outages before the storms hit?? I went ahead & left my pc off for awhile, so it didn't get hurt. When I finally got this thing on again, I found an urgent message from our Gen-Sis Dorothy HUNT saying she was on the way to the hospital--a baby (grandchild????) was born, & was very small & sick. She has requested prayer for the baby, so I'm sure you all would want to know & will lift her up (& baby) in your precious prayers. I'll keep you updated, if I can. I have received $20 more towards our census porject, & I believe this gives us $182 for the next census image puchase. I don't have the figures before me. Have you mailed your pledge yet? I received the neatest little booklet yesterday "Georgia Settlers" by the East GA Genealogy Society. This is a very informative publication involving several of our "Gen-Kids" & several GA counties, which I intend to order before long. Maybe Jim or Faye could fill us in on this, especialy since I'm going to have to get offline again. Good job "Kids"!!! I, of course, haven't gotten anything uploaded, since I haven't been able to turn my pc on, & work on our pages. I'm almost done with my file "cleaning", though. That's progress!! Remember, our surname project is coming up March 1st! Do I have your surnames of interest listed on our web page? Did you know we have had over 2000 visits to our site? I was quite shocked when I looked at it this afternoon!! Gotta go--Love ya, & miss ya too! Momma Walton <><
