Hi all. I wanted to say that the long/lat are confusing even to me and I have experience using them and a GPS receiver. However the they give a reference point that will never change. The technology is awsome even without one that will plug into a laptop. Walton County is growing so fast that if the project gave directions they would be outdated in a few years I'm afraid. I have an Ala. county that is well survied that has directions like "the second dirt road to the right". Roads are being paved often and dirt roads come and go with logging. The directions are already outdated and would be again in a few years. The lat/long will never change however. My point is that the lat/long is harder to use but will be availble and relavent forever. David Dennis, Proud Rootsweb Donor
