Please forgive the duplicate post. Would anyone that is or has researched any Whitehead family in any of these above listed counties, please e-mail me privately. I am looking for the family of Mary Elizabeth Whitehead, her parents or any siblings. She is buried in the Social Circle Cemetery. She was born on April 12, 1847 (where?) she died April 30, 1894 in Social Circle. She married Judson O'Donald Shepherd on March 31, 1869 in Social Circle (I have a copy of the marriage license). I saw last week on a rootsweb page that there was a Benjamin and Mary Whitehead family in Walton Co. during this time period. All of the children listed for this family are listed on the Walton Co. grooms and brides list with spouses. The only male listed was a Allen or (as listed on LDS, Alben) Whitehead and Louisa E. Phillips. Louisa's date of birth is the same yr. as Mary's, so that doesn't seem to be possible unless, Allen(Alben) was married before. He was listed as 38 yrs. older than Louisa. Could Mary possibly have been the daughter of a first wife? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Billy Shepherd sheps@hom.net
